Earth Day 2026 - Warwick State Forest

We are continuing our partnership with the MA Dept of Conservation and Recreation at the Erving State Forest Complex, to clean up over 72 wooden pallets from the forest. We have completed two days of preparations to make it as stock friendly as possible, so we may utilize compact pick ups, SUVS and trailers to remove the pallets to a dumpster. Once again, Rick's Roll-Offs, LLC is providing the dumpster donation.

This is a large project and will require many hands. 

The Plan:

• Meet at Tractor Supply in Orange, MA and pick up a rental trailer, sign waivers, etc
• Convoy to the forest, air down here
• Convoy to the site where the skids are located
• Make several trips to move the skids to the forest road at the bottom of the hill, where the trailer will be staged
• Hopefully, make one trip to load the pallets in the dumpster 
• Travel time through the forest is approximately 45 minutes between the dumpster and the site

We have made the road and trail stock friendly for any 4x4 vehicle to avoid scratches - as much as possible.

Volunteers will not be required to have MA OHV Registrations for the work day portion of the event, as we expect many members to use other vehicles to move the materials.
